Natural Remedy for Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma: Apple Cider Vinegar

What is Allergic Rhinitis? Wikipedia defines it as an allergic inflammation of the nasal airways. It occurs when allergen, such as pollen, dust or animal dander (particles of shed skin and hair) is inhaled by an individual with a sensitized immune system.

What is Asthma? Wikipedia defines it as a common chronic inflammatory disease of airways characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchopasm. Common symptoms include wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath.

I do understand those definitions not only in words but also by experience. I have allergic rhinitis since God-knows-when.

Have you ever sneezed like it's the end of the world, thinking you had flu but after a couple of hours it'll disappear and then all of a sudden suffering from it again? Well, I have.

As soon as I wake up any time of the day or night, I always always always, and did I say always? I always sneeze. So that's the start of my day or night, whatever.

Most of the time it's annoying especially when I'm in public places surrounded by people who think you're sick and treat you like a walking-disease machine. It's pretty embarrassing. Sometimes you want to give your whole strength to sneeze it all out at once to get rid of itchiness but you're afraid to sound like you're about to pull your intestines, lungs and all other organs out of your body through your nose. So you don't...  You sometimes hold it in, just to be spared of those judgmental eyes staring at ya.

Yes, I have suffered from those. And yes most of the time I don't have tissue or handkerchief to wipe my poor nose with because I'm also allergic to those. But hey, it gets worse... if I won't get rid of my allergy right away by taking antihistamine (which will make me feel tired afterwards), I may suffer from asthma later on. Then, I'll have fever and so on.

Sometimes people think I'm crying because it's not only itchy but it also hurts when my allergy is about to attack, so tears fall. I get grumpy. I get really irritated.

Until.......
and this may help you guys as well. Try it...

..... Apple Cider Vinegar

Since I discovered it, my life changed :) Well, of course only on the part about Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis and all other cases which I will blog about and share with you guys.

At first, I was like, "Huh? Vinegar? It's not possible", because I'm also allergic to its scent. So I was hesitating to the max, but you know, when you're desperate you might wanna try things like that, and I've read a lot of positive writings about it.

So to make the, already long story, a little less, I tried it.

Mix these:

  • 8oz purified water (hot or cold or lukewarm)
  • 2 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
That's it and you're done. Then, drink it of course.

Tips:
  • You can also mix it with tea or any juice you desire to drink instead of water, but whichever you choose to mix it with, ACV will make their taste a little different.
  • You may wanna try the one with what they call "the mother" and the brand is Bragg

just because this one is unfiltered and it's organic so it's best recommended.

Now, I'm not limiting you guys to use only this one. I'm not paid to recommend this. Actually, the very first one I tried was other brand (I forgot the name). It was a clear apple cider vinegar, and it also worked wonders for me. Bragg is very hard to find. It's always out of stock, maybe because it really works. I had mine from Rustan's Power Plant Mall and one from SM Marketplace in A Venue, Makati Avenue.

  • Use the unpasteurized honey. It's great for those who have asthma.
  • For those who are taking medications for maintenance, ask your doctor first if apple cider vinegar won't have a bad effect if mixed with those medications.
  • Try it from the moment you wake up, 3 times a day, or if you're hesitating at least try it once a day for a week or two, then observe.
  • Do not drink Apple Cider Vinegar without mixing it with water or juice. It's bad for the throat.
  • Wash your mouth after drinking because Apple Cider Vinegar may harm your teeth if it stays too long there. It can whiten your teeth but it may also make it weak. So to prevent it, gargle water afterwards.
  • Drink lots of purified water.

THE RESULT

When I first tried it, OMG!!! I didn't like the taste (amfffffff!), and the smell (oh my!). It will really make you say something awful, and make faces, and may make you feel hesitated to drink it.

You have the option to try it yourself and discover the miracle that it brings. It works for me, I don't see why it won't for you. If it didn't then that's another story... at least you tried.

When I did, that was the first time ever that I woke up without the annoying sneezing, crying, screaming, itching, and the like.

BONUS

I am allergic to sweets as well. It's one of those many many many things that trigger my asthma. Once I drink or eat sweets, even those that are not too sweet, they mess my throat up really bad. It gets swollen and gets to have pus. Then asthma on the way. Boom! I'm sick.

Now, Apple cider vinegar gives me all the chances in the world to enjoy sweets. It healed my throat... and that's a fact.

Many other bonus results of Apple Cider Vinegar soon....

  2. i have found in my experience the easiest and natural way to cure rhinitis...
i work in a bpo industry and no matter what time i wake up depending on my work schedule i am always bothered by this allergy.,.super itchy nose... uncontrollable discharge...sneezing that forces me to blow my nose excessively that it even damages my ears.. my doctor prescribed my a nasal spray that somewhat reduces the sensitivity of the lining of my nose but that is way too expensive and it only works as long as you keep using it...
I found this juice drink which is made from 2 superfoods and applied it in my nose by mixing a very small amount in a teaspoon, then about five drops of water then using a wet cotton buds i mixed it until it dissolves... I was cleaning my nose with a damp cotton bud that then was the only time I found out that the lining of my nose was actually bleeding the reason that it is itchy every time i wake up is because of the dry blood and the wound gets fresh again each time i have this allergic reaction marathon the whole day..so using the dissolved juice drink i gently applied it in my nose. The first time i applied it, it feels painful and seemed to worsen the allergic reaction and swelling but after taking a rest (ample sleep) my nose was able to recover from the initial reaction (some say healing crisis) that time when I woke up my nose feels very dry but not each...feels like a part of your skin is tightened or like healing...i even have a photo of my nose 3 days after using this solution i discovered..and the redness and swelling is gone..my co-workers even noticed that am not even sneezing not even once at work...no more allergic reaction from the airconditioning/// If you want to try this you can use an empty nasal sprayer(since it has a long nozzle) which can reach the inside of our nose easier to use and will prevent you from rubbing you nose lining too much as it may make the nose lining bleed again just make sure to wash the sprayer after using or put it inside a fridge and you can use it within 24 hours..spraying maybe only 2 or 3 times a day..but me i only apply it using a cotton rolled in a matchstick only once a day....To those who are interested please email me or pm thru..hachigatsu_06@yahoo.com and ill give you the details how you can get this superfoods juice drink...100% it worked for me and it is all natural and very easy..

  5. The Bragg ACV works wonders for Allergic Rhinitis. My daughter has suffered for about 25 years, the worse being this year (2015). Every day streaming nose and eyes. She was sent home from work several times as she could not focus on her PC screen. Doctors gave her antihistamines and nasal sprays with no real effect. ACV has changed her life completely. Now given up the antihistamines and still good though the nasal spray does seem to help is the sniffles start to appear. One real recurrence over one weekend recently. This was because she forgot to take the ACV with her. As others have said, not sure why it works but it does. (dose2 tsp twice a day)
